Can i offer a suggestion? If your hair goes a lot darker than you want it, if washing it isnt making a difference then oil it. I dont suppose it matters what you use, i used olive oil. Put loads of it on your hair and leave it to soak in for a good couple of hours whilst wrapping your hair in a warm towel. Oil will strip excess colour out of your hair. It worked for me anyway. I aint a hairdresser by the way, and dont pretend to know what i am talking about - its just that it worked for me.

Dear me when I think back to what I used to do to my hair at home. I used to bleach it repeatedly in one day to get it pure white, loads and loads of hairspray and other concoctions to get it to go spiky. Then after getting it lovely and white I would put a different colour on it each week. Pinkissimo pink being my fav.
Now 20 years later I have a lovely head of my natural colour hair (see, I said it wouldn't fall out Aunty Betty!) and wouldn't touch it myself but get my mobile hairdresser to look after it, I just like the pampering!

Just an update. I bought the special cleansing shampoo from Boots £2.99 and used yesterday. The lather turned brown due to excess dye coming out yuk !!. Really surprised as it had already had 3 washes.
It does make your hair really sqeeky clean and I had to use lots of conditioner afterwards .
My hair is still too dark but you should see the shine. I really do recommend using this as getting rid of all the products that are stuck fast to your hair shaft really does make a diference.
Now I am all shiny haired I acyually don't mind waiting a few weeks to re-dye it.

If you are bleached blonde and you suddenly decide that you want to go brown, if your unfortunate, you may go a horrible kakhi green colour.

Exactly what happened to me back in the Eighties - it looked like duck poo. Had to put a ginger semi-permanent on it, then a permanent light brown to get back to something resembling a normal colour.

The ability of skinny old ladies to carry huge loads is phenomenal. An ant can carry one hundred times its own weight, but there is no known limit to the lifting power of the average tiny eighty-year-old Spanish peasant grandmother.

and have any of you with wire wool hair like me ever found any sort or serum or relaxant (non chemical) which actually does straighten and flatten your hair without having to flatten it after for hrs with a dryer? ive had every posh make going, im wondering if theres one that makes a very noticeable difference just leaving it to air dry on hair which looks stretched and crimped and huge lol (ie hair you could never in a million years have down)
