I am currently running firefox version 2 on vista. When i click on help - check for updates it comes up with no updates available.
I know firefox 3 is stable now and wish to upgrade. How do i do it?

Yep, the automatic update as far as I remember only updates the "sub" versions 2.x.. to 2.y.... etc. Whole version upgrades do require redownloading manually."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

The automatic update does offer v3 periodically (but only as a new download), unless you tell it "don't remind me again".
Best to download from fresh as per Browntoa's advice.0
