Have to agree. If you "want" to have AOL software on your system you're deliberately shooting yourself in the foot and it can't ever be ruled out as causing problems and conflicts etc and not necessarily ever solveable problems either other than "uninstall it"."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

In case you think they are being biased, here's my advice, and sorry but I can only agree with the espresso and superscaper - it's good advice.
AOL is awful, get rid of the software and use a normal browser, you'll find life easier and the web much more fulfilling.
I don't understand why anyone would use AOL software to view a website, it's got a terrible reputation. Download Firefox and see what you've been missing.0 -

they are told(or not oltd but AOl dont mention the user can use other browsers) to use the AOL browser by AOL and they arent aware that there are different browsers available,0 -

Uninstalling AOL's awful software has got nothing to do with connecting to AOL. In fact same goes for ANY ISP you pay to connect with, never use their own software. At home I'm currently with Talktalk, and I've never let any Talktalk CD anywhere near my computer nor is there a single mention of Talktalk anywhere in my computer. Have you actually had a look at the link espresso gave?
Installing/uninstalling browsers etc is nothing to do with who you connect to the internet with."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"
