Comparing comparison sites
I have just been on 4 gas/elec comparison sites, to check prices. At the moment I am with Eon for both, on Energy Online Extra Saver 5 tariff.
I have just received a quarterly bill, so I know exactly how much I have paid for gas/elec (too much!)
Putting the details of my tariff and usage into the comparison sites, I get 4 different answers:
1. I will save £431 a year
2. I will save £249 a year
3. I will pay an extra £64 a year
4. I will pay an extra £336 a year
They are all using the same alternative company and tariff - British Gas, Click Energy 6.
Why the huge differences in estimated savings/lack of savings? Surely if you put the same figures in each, they should reach the same conclusion?
Help, please!
