Long weekend this weekend - inspiration needed!

Hi,

I've managed to get this Friday to Monday off with my girlfriend and we were thinking of going somewhere that's not too expensive for some or all of these days.

Only problem is we've no idea what to do or where to go! Any suggestions would be very welcome - we're based in Liverpool but we would travel anywhere within a couple of hours travel or alternatively somewhere abroad though I know last minute abroad is normally pretty pricey.

I only booked last Friday for blackpool this weekend for the illuminations and end of season fireworks display

Have also booked for the end of next January for Scotland

Try all three codes that are listed in the thread, for some reason the last code seems to work best, well for me anyway

Ha, great minds.. was about to suggest this very thing!

I am also off to Blackpool on Sunday via this Hilton 1/2 price deal (I do hope
Sunday's the fireworks display too with it being the last illuminations day - That'd be a great bonus! :T )
I live in manchester and takes me about 45 mins to get there, so you in liverpool won't have too far to go either

The Blackpool Hilton sounded like a nice idea but there are no rooms available at the promotional rate now any other ideas?

Holiday Inn are doing two nights B & B, with evening meal on one of the nights from £50 per person. We have stayed in some nice locations with them in the past when they have done this offer. We particularly like the Chester area but that wouldn't be much of a trip for you from Liverpool!
