try logging in as administrator, leaving blank password.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Though instead of Methods 2 or 3, I would use http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html0 -
None of the above options work as i forgot to mention her laptop is windows vista home.
Plus the stupid girl has somehow added password so that when i try to boot into safe mode its asking for password and surprise surprise she can't remember them both.
Think this is going to be one long school holiday  :mad:0 -
there is software you can use that resets the password, but I cant endorse it on MSE as its not strictly legal (imagine someone with a stolen laptop). I.d tell her as she cant remember the passwords she so quickly insisted it had, the laptop is a lame duck until she can remember:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Thanks marleyboy but this has been going on for over a week now but with her being off school this week wanted to try and get it sorted.
The second password has been added i'm presuming as she was in the admin screen the other day and i stressed to her that as she didnt know what she was doing to leave it but what 13 year old listens eh. :mad:0 -

The http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/bootdisk.html solution worked on my Vista set up, but mine is a PC. What problems did you experience in using it?0 -
For Vista- restart the PC and keep pressing F8 until you get the OS Choices menu, select "Safe Mode". When safe mode is loaded click on Administrator and it should go to the desktop but this depends if the Administrator account is enabled. Change/set login accounts & passwords etc.more dollar$ than sense0
