Annual travel insurance

anual trave ins. have a specific maximum number of days one can be absent from UK at any one time, usually 31 days,45 days, 60 days and occasionally 90 days. What happens if, for example, on the 60 day maximum I go on holiday for 65 days? Am I not covered at all? Or am I covered for the first 60 days or the last 60 days? Anybody know?
