For everyone who has come on here due to the email, I have posted a full list of whats inc on post 24 hope this helps.
Hurry though the offer ends on the 16th November 2008
  • Was in my local sainsburys today.

This offer was not particularly well advertised but they had a touchscreen display advertising it. Expiry date was given as 24/12/08 for this offer on it.

You have to take the 2 qualifying CDs and the £15 card to the till and then they have to put through all 3 items to get the discount, the till doesn't alert the cashier to the offer, so check that you are getting the discount.

I'll get my OH to check this out. and get back to you all.

The reason staff at sainsburys do not know much about this promo, is because this promotion is set up by another company on behalf of itunes and sainsburys, it was a rushed promotion and the memo was not forwarded onto the stores.
  • Hi,

My partner was talking about getting the Andrea Bocelli CD for his mum for Christmas, and an itunes voucher for someone else, so I let him know about this offer.

He went along to our local (Dundee) Sainsbury's this morning. There was a sign up to highlight the offer, and it said on any stickered items... but none of the items were stickered.

He took the new Snow Patrol album, the Andrea Bocelli album and the £15 itunes voucher to the helpdesk, and asked the CS adviser if they were included in the offer. She replied that no they weren't, only the items on a particular stand were included, but he asked her to scan them anyway (including the itunes voucher), and they went through fine. She was quite surprised, so thanks everyone who has posted.

He's so happy with his freebie Christmas present. Hopefully I can convert him too!

  • I went to my local sainsbury's where they had the Katherine Jenkins CD priced up at £6.97 when i got to the till they refused to sell it to me at that price and said the price should be £9.97 - i spoke to the manager and he said they had the right to refuse to sell an item if they wished.
I always thought if you had an item marked up at a price or advertised at a price they were legally bound to sell it to you at that price??
    grateful for your comments

I had a look in my local Sainsburys tonight - there was a display stand but none of the CDs were what we'd listen to or would make good Xmas pressies for anyone we know.
I need to get an iTunes card for my son for Xmas so I'll be getting the £25 one that's on offer in Morrisons for £20 instead.
