Thanks again for flagging up this offer, I got the Snow Patrol CD for myself and Pop Party 6 for my niece's Christmas stocking and am v.happy with the iTunes voucher. The offer definitely ends on 16 November, though I'm going to check every week in case they change the titles in the offer. Fantastic! :j

Perhaps the following link might be of use to some of you?

    http://www.haywirehacking.com/main/2008/10/11/hacking-google-turning-a-search-engine-into-an-mp3-downloade.html

This link goes to a web site, where it explains how, using the Bandname and Song Title as Search Tools, you can use Google to search for a web site which has the MP3 version of the song or number so that you can then download this as your digital copy.

The general idea is that if you already own, say a CD containing the song or number, which is the published work of the author, then naturally, you are entitled to a digital copy of the music.

If you are interested in this kind of thing, whether you use it or not, at least you can see how to do this kind of search on Google.

I do hope that it's an informative help. :)

My Sainsbury's didn't have any signs up about the offer so I asked. Luckily the Assist Manager was the only one aware and confirmed the offer.

The offer applies to the Chart topping CDs - there was a list the top 30 instore. I bought High School Musical 3 OST for 7.97 and Michael Jackson's King of Pop (Best of) for 9.77. So well worth it.

iTunes card was not taken off so Customer services had to call Asst Mngr before voiding it. Check you receipts - I suspect the offer is so new the tills haven't been adjusted.

Thank you. I called into my local Sainsburys yesterday and because I didn't see any signs thought the offer had ended. On my way back up there to have another look.
  • I picked up Katherine Jenkins for £6.97 and Snow Patrol for £9.97- took both plus the itunes card to the till with no problems. Andrea Boccelli's Incanto (new release) is also included so I may be going back for that today. To keep the itunes voucher or not to keep - that is the question - would I look cheap if I gave it as a christmas pressie?

That store you purcahsed these from was incorrect, it does not included the top 30 hence it didn't work through the tills.
I can guarantee it is only the list posted above. My OH works for the company that sets these promos up in sainsburys, and I have just doubled checked her paper work.

I checked in my local sainsburys today and they didn't have a clue about this offer and no signs up, they said they wasn't running the offer, even the manager was clueless. Its mad that its a Sainsburys offer but nobody is aware.

    Will check another Sainsburys tomorrow.
