    They do exist:eek:

That is a lot of house for the cash, look like complete bargains to me:confused:

Perhaps they are bang right in the middle of a troubled council estate or there is no decent employment in that part of the country to warrant high prices?

    Bargain though.

Well there is no council estate for quite a few miles around their. However employment isn't brilliant in the area although Manchester is about 45 min commute by car, prices for 4 beds near me (about 5 miles from there) are about 170+, down from over 200k earlier in the year.

I'm guessing it is a repo because look at the picture of the bathroom in the link you gave us:

It has got a tape on top of the toilet. I have viewed repo properties before and they all had tape. So I guessed it could be repo!

Wow, is that true, tape on the toilet, well I guess you learn somethin everyday

Is that cheap? If you don't mind the area, you can get cheaper, even close to the South-East.

Strange thing is, if you look at the photo of the house (which does look very nice), there is a for sale sign bunged on next doors garden isnt there? I wonder if its the right house :rotfl:

I've viewed a couple of repos, it seems to be the case.

The tape will read something like 'ensure system is primed before use', buying a repo I think you need a plumber to come round and ensure there's no air in the system, not sure why they turn the water off in repos but it seems to be the norm (basing this just on my own personal limited experience)

Yes, it's not a nice part of the world, I was a school governor nearby. But still, £80k for four bedrooms, an hour from London by train.
Hurrah, now I have more thankings than postings, cheers everyone!

I think it's so the bank doesn't have to pay water / sewerage. They are obliged to minimise costs to the person that was repo'd.

You lot are so dumb. The tape on the toilet means you don't have to bother scraping off several years of filth before trying to flog your place on to the next [STRIKE]sap[/STRIKE] er investor.

I thought it was to stop the risk of burst / frozen pipes, flooding, etc.
