The stowells wine is lovely - my friend and I managed to drink 3 of the 4 bottles we had last night !!!!!!!!!!!

Went to my local Somerfields last Monday to buy my four bottles & couldn't find any(it is a small store in Kenilworth) but I did spot Stowells 3 litre wine boxes of Chenin Blanc(no.3) for £9.99 reduced from £15 something.

went in netto and got smirnoff 70cl for £8.99 didn't need anymore as already have some other sprits for xmas

FYI: Somerfield do normally change their deals on a fortnightly basis (normally rotating on a wednesday). HOWEVER, at Christmas this is often extended.

If you go into Somerfield and look at the sign carefully (the horrible garish yellow and white thing) in the bottom right corner, in very small print will tell you what date the offer is due to end..

Somerfield in Coventry were just putting the 4for £10 wine out on display this afternoon.Did'nt check which brands they were.

Wines offered by Somerfield are a bit basic but at £2.50 / bottle are pretty good glug value.

Bargain Booze who have branches all over midlands and N West have the rather better "Varietals" - 4 reds and 4 whites mixable -from Stowells on offer (as for most of last 6 months) at 3 for £10. Now these really are good quality wines and we've opted for these this Xmas/N Year although we have both Somerfield & Bargain Booze 3/4 mile away.

Have to admit that after the 3rd bottle I can't tell the difference (or the time) though - merry Xmas to all

Somerfield and Kwik Save staff at this time of year get a 10% Festive :santa2: thankyou on top of their normal 10% staff discount......now you would imagine that they would all rush out and buy the Stowells??? 4 for £10 ( less their 20%) less the 5% on 6 bottles.....nope not the case in my neck of the woods, it ain't rated- infact thats why there are shelves of the stuff left, enjoy what you really enjoy- life is too short so dont chase the rubbish and this offer is pretty poor quality but just about glugable- mind you the real bargain in Somerfield at the moment must be the 2 for £20 litre bottles of spirits ( Gin Vodka Whiskey Bacardi :beer: ) now thems a bargain...enjoy your tipple and 2006....ESS
