Thining isn't really good enough with paypal, its proof of delivery you'll need.
I think you will lose your paypal disputes.:pHi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Sorry, but something does not add up. All 4 buyers getting humpy after just 10 days, no propper proof of posting and all 4 buyers saying they did not receive the goods.
If the Post Office staff have writting the post codes on the receipt then that should be enough for a refund. Otherwise, I'm afraid I don't blame the buyers or Paypal.0 -
Not if you used a tracked delivery they cant.
Even thats a load of rubbish, i used courier recently, fully trackable, stated item signed for on 2nd delivery as 1st time buyer not in.
I still lost dispute with paypal.
Only way i can see round it, is eye for an eye IMHO.I maybe crap with money but im good with cars;)

To me that spounds like a credit card chargeback/fraudulent use, BUT it was sent tracked to an unconfirmed address.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
What can sellers do to protect themselves against chargebacks? I have a few things that I was going to sell on eBay but after reading some of the posts on the forum it makes me wonder if it is worth the effort. On the PayPal website it says, 'All sellers who accept credit card payments run the risk of being liable for chargebacks'. I have looked at the settings on my PayPal but I cannot see an opt in or out of credit card payments.
I wonder if buyers who make a lot of claims for non delivered items are monitored. Seller can't even put a warning in their feedback without the risk of it being removed. Buyers would be very unlucky if several different packages went astray.0 -
If you are selling genuinely on Ebay I don't see the problem.
I have been subject, once to a !!!!! who said it wasn't perfect. Well no, of course not it was second hand. Only the once for me, but she had 'mental health problems'. Then she said that I had contacted her via phone and threatened her son. I didn't care by that point. She bid on a pair of GHDs and said they were for her sons Xmas pressie. Day 10 I didn't have payment. So I phoned as they left a no. I think to this day it was the boy using his mums account. I ended up selling to the original but what a fiasco.0 -

Check the useful tips thread on this board for Marty J's post about seller protection. I've been looking into this today and it seems the new Paypal T & Cs are a dream for fraudsters. You agree to buy something for £500 say, PayPal often then holds the money in their sort of suspense account for 21 days. The seller must send the item and Paypal do not release the funds until positive feedback is received. Easy to just say it has not arrived or was faulty. PayPal refund the buyer the £500 and the seller loses out.
Look at the ebay forum. There are loads of messages from people who have been ripped off. PayPal say they only hold the money if you are a high risk seller; very new to Ebay or less than 100% feedback or selling risky items, but it appears there are loads of reputable sellers who have fallen foul of this as well. I shall not be selling on Ebay any more it is just too risky. PayPal also seem to refund buyers without checking if their claims are true.
They have protected the buyers which is great, but totally shafted the sellers.0 -
Sorry to hear of your sad news, but I reckon your paypal wont be refunded - no proof of delivery, the best you can do to recoup anything and maybe offset fees etc is to fire in compensation claims with Royal Mail with your receipts for the 'missing' items. Theres no point totally losing out0
