also just before christmas my meter decided to stop accepting my card so on wed,i phoned british gas and a mr man took my meter out and replaced it with a new one,he then went and since nothing is working (ie my heating/water)i rang them back and was told thats my problem with the boiler not theres, but everything was perfect before they cut the gas supply off to exchange the meter,do anyone no my rights??

Everything may have been perfect before the meter went in but BG don't just break into peoples houses without a warrant. You must not have been keeping up with bills check to make sure that there is credit on the account.
Are you sure the boiler may not have just broken down ?.
give BG a call on 0800 048 0303 if you feel the meter is at fault. His Heart Proved He Was A RedSuarez, SuarezWe Bought The Lad From AmsterdamWe Know He's Not a Chelsea Fan.Fernando Torres = El Judas0 -
Many times when the gas stops going through the meter either because you have run out of credit or have a faulty meter a boiler problem comes to the fore front. I know over the bad weather period this has happened to quite a few people. Sometimes people even think the meter is faulty when it is the boiler. The problem will not be because of the meter so you or your Landlord will have to get the heating fixed.Self Employed, Running my Dream Jobs0
