The spec sheet on the JL site shows it has a digital tuner = freeview.

There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

Far far better choice than the one at ASDA in your other thread. Like chalk and cheese. I don't think you'll be dissapointed with the Sony but it's out of stock at John Lewis. :(

Why don't you read some comparative reviews?

    Agree with djohn2002uk above.

I've never been a Sony fan and less so now. I think it's overpriced, the quality isn't as good as it used to be and they are overly fond of closed, proprietary solutions and extreme anti-piracy measures which inconvenience ordinary customers.

When I come to buy an LCD TV, I'll be looking at Panasonic and Samsung kit first.

But you are in the minority methinks, I have my first ever Sony TV and DVD recorder and they are superb.
Anyway, with 21000+ posts you aint got time for TV so I'd make do with what you got.
