IP Address Problem

Morning
I am having some problems with my IP address. I regularly visit a surf forecast site that has forecasts for all over the world. Just lately when I go on there it automatically shows the report for USA, when I check at work it still comes straight on the UK page and it used to on my own computer. I ran an IP check and it showed me being in the middle of USA!?!?!? The IP address started with 205.188......
I like to watch things on the BBC I player but it will only allow users from the UK to watch it so I think this might cause me problems. Any idea why my IP address has changed to a USA one? Or have I done something stupid!!
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick reply.
My ISP is AOL. I went on to IPChicken and it said my IP is 205.188 etc.
Any ideas why it has changed suddenly? Is there any way to change it back to a UK one?

No there isn't a way to change it back. It's entirely in the control of your ISP.0

As Conor says, there isn't nothing you can do about it.
If you are an AOL UK customer, and they've now switched your IP address to a US one, and you cannot access some restricted UK content (which relies on a UK IP address), contact them, report the issue - as effectively you cannot access some localised areas of the internet such as the BBC iPlayer.
Also see if other AOL members are having similar issues, they must be some AOL specific forums around.0 -
