Buying home telephones - help and advice needed

I need to replace my old and worn out home telephones.
I am on BT and want good, solid, reliable handsets (2 maybe 3) with clear sound, answer phone, caller display, clear functions (don't need unnecessary extras).
Corded or cordless or a combination of both.
I do not want to spend loads so am not looking at top-end kit.
I do not really know what my spec list will cost however - there are literally hundreds of phones on sites such as Amazon.
Any tips / help / advice to narrow it down much appreciated.

Plenty of companies sell good quality phones, even in the high street, Staples, Argos etc. Avoid cheap brands.
We have Panasonic cordless phones at home which are very good, feature packed (caller display, answerphones, speaker phones on the hand set, different ringtones for different callers etc) and are reliable. At work I have BT Converse corded phones with built in caller display, hands free options etc.
I think we got most of those from Viking Direct, but many on-line discount stores stock good 'phones.0 -
I also use Panasonic very good, three cordless phones +base station/chargers for each.

any further narrowing down?
or suggestions?

Decide what you want(!) then find the cheapest prices from a good online store (several of us have already mentioned a few), use Google's Product Search to help find the lowest price.0
