Go to Start, all programs and click on Windows Updates at the top. I do it this way as I use F/Fox.You will go to the microsoft update page, select the recommended Express install and sit back and wait. Does installing Firefox 1.5 mean that you have to reset everything or is it done automatic. I'm running Firefox and XP pro, but it seems to be carrying out a complete install rather than an update.

Just download/install the new version and it should be a seamless transition/update

You can always update windows via Internet Explorer, Tools, Windows Update.
Even if you use Fire Fox.0 -

i have tried this but i get a red circle and cross with error no. 0x800B001
and
website encountered problem and cannot display page you are trying to view
i have tried to look for the error no. in help section but its not there
please help

Just tried doing windows update as described above, never tried it that way before, and everything locked up!
I normally run windows update from the control panel, which in my case works every time.
PS I am running FF1.5That gum you like is coming back in style.0
