FirstChoice Holidays Cost More for 2 Adults 1 Child than 3 Adults, Same Holiday!

I called first choice tonight and spoke to a helpful sales rep from Birmingham, as others have said he confirmed this is sometimes the case - I complained but also didn't give him an ear bashing as it's not his fault the company policy stinks!
I asked him to confirm if it would be acceptable to book as 3 adults and would there be any problems and he confimed it is acceptable practice and lots of people do it, even with 2 adults & 2 children.
I've never read about this in any of Martins emails yet think everyone should be aware of how the holiday companies are ripping families off.0 -
I've found this before. When I was a single parent, it was considerably cheaper to take my boys away as three adults, rather than pay the child fares plus the under occupancy fees for having just one adult in the apartment. Even though the boys travelled as adults, they were still able to join in the childrens clubs.
I'm now married again with a third child. Just booked a holiday today. Tried various combinations and it's been cheapest to go as 4 adults and 1 child. Here I go again on my own....0 -
I will NEVER travel with First choice again. When we flew to Florida with them in 2005, they were a fantastic company, however every holiday I have attempted to book with them since has resulted in really high prices being quoted. Even though First choice and Thomson are the same company, Thomson still have good prices for the same holidays that First choice are charging a fortune for. They are ripping us off. I don't know about the airport prices you all get charged, but First choice really charge a fortune to fly from Glasgow. We flew from Manchester to Orlando with them and the flight went via Glasgow, however if we had chosen to fly from Glasgow they were going to charge us an extra £1,000 for 2 ad, 2 ch. hence the reason we flew from Manchester. the prices they get away with charging fromregional airports is ridiculous.
As for the emails and phone calls that Damianiw made, I complained too, but I still haven't recieved a reply and that was in 2005. Can't understand how they can get away with it.
