right i used to work at the airport before i came to universty and had a big overdraft of £ 3000 but due to my job i could all ways pay it off before it got to big the worst it ever got was about £ 1700 so never relly had money problems
so last year i went to uni and opend up a student acount and got a £ 1000 overdraft for that year but i quickly spent it due to my high spending nature and keeped saying to my self that i would pay it off on the holidays but i soon maxed out my student overdraft and started on my currnet acount and by the end of the year iv raked up £ 2700 in my current acount wich now charges me £48 pound a month .... sadly over the summer i could not get my old job back due to new terriost laws so i could not pay it off
now back in uni and did not relize how much £48 a month is wen your skint
so i want to some how shift my £2700 overdraft to my student one ( im with halifax the max student is £3000) so its do able but the bank won't extend my student overdraft any more due to my big overdraft in the current acount
so could any body tell me a loophole or a way to sort it out
p.s sorry for the long post but was need for you to understand my posishion .....lol also im an Engineering student so sorry for the spelling

Get a job?0

Yep, a job is your long-term solution. Any job. There's lots around if you aren't too picky. Your uni might be able to help you out somehow, but you'd need to ask if you meed the criteria.0

ya iv got a job allready but thats not going to stop me giving the bank £48 and i have started to sort money problems so i don't go more in to debt but just wan see if thers a way i could get some of that overfraft in to my student acount so i pay less to the bank
and loophole was used to refer to a way round or a diffrent way of doing things
NOT AS IN FIND A FLAW TO EXPLOITE0 -
O..k.. so you have a job yet you don't earn more than £48 a month?0

I don't mean to be rude, but, your spelling is absolutely atrocious. I am surprised that you were able to gain entry to University with such bad grammar and spelling.
Back to the thread...
Blaming "the new terrorist laws" on not being able to secure a job is a pretty pathetic excuse. Go out, find a job, and pay back your debt. The bank was kind enough to give you an overdraft, and it is only fair that you pay it back.
If you are having trouble paying back your debt, contact your bank, discuss the situation, and if they are not favourable, then seek independent and free debt advice.0 -
Talk to your bank, im sure they would tell you a way forward.
If your job isnt giving you enough hours, or money, then try asking for more. Or take on a second job at weekend or nights. Or try getting a holiday job and use the money from the 2nd job to pay this bill off.0 -

How about sorry for the terrible spelling, grammar AND lack of punctuation??
Being an Engineering student is no excuse. I did an MEng, and never came across anyone with such a poor grasp of the English language! Which university are you at???
As for your money issue, the solution is very simple: A JOB!
If you couldn't get your old summer job back, why didn't you get another one? A job working in a restaurant a couple of nights a week will sort the debt payments out.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
