light bulbs

I'm back again with another light bulb question.
Just bought a light fitting off ebay and fitted it.

The fitting was supplied with golf ball bulbs but they are not energy saving.
Question is, the bulbs are SBC (small bayonette caps) and I have been offered 10 SBC energy saving twist or candle bulbs at a reasonable price.
Do I have to use golf ball bulbs, or can I use any SBC bulb?

[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

You can use the energy saving ones, although most are taller.0 -
your light fitting is nearly the same as ours. the shades are the same.
but ours has the small es screw in bulbs.
the shape of the glass bulb doesnt really matter.Get some gorm.0 -
Golf ball bulbs are specified only for the reason that candle bulbs will protrude from the shade and might look a bit odd. You can use any energy saving bulbs that will fit, but any type of high enough wattage (brightness) will protrude from the shade.0
