How can i fing the cheapest supplier if i dont have any previous bills to compare?
Options
Hello, We have recently purchased a repo so the gas and electric need reconecting. Currently the accounts (previous owners)for both gas and electric are with NPower. The house is in need of work before we can move in and it had been standing empty for over 12 months before we bought it.
We arent responsible for the utilities where we have been living so dont have any figures to compare with on the comparison sites etc. How do we know which is the cheapest for us??
Its a 3 bed semi and well insulated.
We need to have the heating and electrics checked over too. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Put down 20,500kWh for gas and 3,300kWh for electricity as that is the average consumption in UK.
It is a good bet that BG Click 6 will be the cheapest - although most of the internet accounts will be there or there abouts.
You will probably be advised to get re-connected with NPower first and change later.0 -
No wonder they got reposessed if they were with Npower, they are the biggest rip--off merchant in the business IMO. Some of the bill I got from them were staggering, I would not go back to them if they paid me. Incidently they did actually pay people to stay with them I now I know why - they were charging well over the odds!!0

What you really want is to compare tarrifs with standing charges then you can see what they actually charge for the gas and electric. Pick the cheapest rate.0
