Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: Sorry, this site is free of advertising and we ask people not to advertise their own services/websites/ebay sales (please see this rule). I have asked Board Guides to move any they see. If you have any questions about this policy please email [Removed by Forum Team]Ex forum ambassador

Nice little site, not sure of the implications of entering your v5 document ref on an unknown site, can anyone do anything with this?0

Hi Shaun
You don't have to enter the document reference number. However VOSA requires it to get mileage figures and the DVLA requires it to get the date of issue of the logbook.
I guess its up to you to trust me
I'm trying to see if there's any way to check freely if a vehicle has been reported stolen. I recently put in a Freedom of Information Act to the Police asking how other commercial organisations get access to stolen vehicle reports.0 -

I am in no way trying to put you off your site, I have used and it is really good, just looking for a bit of piece of mind really.0 -
Surely this should have been removed only if he is using the site for profit, this is a free site providing free information of which I have already found useful. (Didnt realise my MOT was due next month

I don't have any adverts on that site and I don't make any personal gains whatsoever. Is MSE really wanting me to not post something that another member has already found useful?0

I don't know what your link was but if it isn't for personal gain, you could email [Removed by Forum Team] letting them know that (they're the people in charge of forum admin) and they will let you know whether it's ok to post it.0
