That's how it used to work - I'm not sure if it's still the case. It was one of the main reasons for bothering to do the price match in the first place - you got a longer guarantee.

I bought the 37LZD81 from John Lewis with a price match for £649.50. I asked them to price match Richer Sounds 5 year guarantee price of £715 but they offered to match Richer Sounds 1 year guarantee price of £649.50 but with their 5 year guarantee. John Lewis's original price was £799. A very good saving - was well impressed with John Lewis. Would buy from them again as a result. Am pleased too with the TV. Not hooked up to Freesat yet so not been able to check HD yet but am happy with SD.

but just what channels will we be able to get from it. Is it just like the freeview box or do you get some extras. (Hubby is hoping we might drop on for some free football channels from europe)

You'll get the free to air HD channels plus all the others on freesat http://www.freesat.co.uk/. If you have Sky you'll also need a dish with 2 or more LNB's in order to run both freesat and Sky alongside each other.
