Advice needed please, what external media hard drive to get?

Hi,
i've been looking for an external media hard drive to put my photo's, mp3 and video files onto, so i can play them back through my tv without the need of a computer still running.
I've been looking at this;

What do you think. Is it a reliable machine, and will it do what i want. It seems pretty cheap but i don't just want cheap i want value for money, so i want it to last as long as possible.
Are there any others you can recommend.
