Wireless Internet?????

Hi,

Hope some1 on here can help me.

I have just bought a new laptop and already have a desktop pc with payg internet.

What i want to know is a bit about the wireless internet thing? and can i use that for a laptop and a desktop pc?

I am looking to get broadband on both and trying to work out the cheapest way can some one please give me some advice.

Yes, you can use wireless on a laptop and a desktop PC. You'll need to buy a wireless adapter for each machine (unless already built in) and an ADSL/Broadband Wireless modem router, or if you have cable internet, a Cable/DSL Wireless Router. Have a look at the Wireless sticky thread for more info.

If your PC is close to where your modem is now, and where your wireless router will be, then it may be better to save yourself the cost of a wireless adapter for the PC, and just connect the wireless router to your PC via an ethernet patch cable.

In any event, it is best to configure the wireless router using a wired connection, so you might just as well keep the PC connection as ethernet.
