Hi Techies,
I have got the above laptop that works perfectly except that I cant connect to any wifi on it(I have got a router at home but I connect via cable to browse internet)
I have a Vista business OS on it and every other thing works fine.
I even see the wireless networks but it wont connect to any of them even in a public library.
Could someome use their good office to help me out here?
Thanks

Dells wireless software may be controlling the connections , untick the box that says use this utility to mange it and let Vista do it
or, To configure Vista wireless, open Network and Sharing, click Manage Wireless connections
If vista is managing it then try the oppositeEx forum ambassador

what does it say when you try and connect to your wireless network??
is your wireless network secure??If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly
I've only ever been wrong once! and that was when I thought I was wrong but I was right0 -
It says could not connect to wireless network...diagnose?
After diagnosing,it still comes up with could not connect. You can't keep a good man down...0 -
I recently installed a wireless router.
I couldn't get my Dell laptop to connect to the Internet and so went to the Dell support web site at http://support.euro.dell.com/ and ran the "How do I troubleshoot my wireless network?" wizard, it is specific to model and operating system. It is slow to go through but it eventually gave me an answer and solved my problem.
If that doesn't help try the Dell Forum or contact Dell, details of both are on the Dell support web site.0
