Ebay non collection - what can I do??

Hi all

I sold a bed on ebay 2 weeks ago. Buyer has paid by paypal but still not collected. He finally contacted me to collect last friday, after several messages from me, so we brought all the bits downstairs ready for his collection. No show. I've contacted him via ebay since and no reply. This is really inconvenient as it's my little boys birthday party on weds so we'll be having lots of family and friends visiting and at the moment I have a bed in several large pieces in my hall and lounge! I'm 6 months pregnant and had to lumber them all downstairs - really dont want to have to lumber them back up again!! I've told the buyer this and asked for collection tonight or tomorrow but no reply?

What can I do? I dont have a telephone number for this guy. How long can a buyer not collect before you can get rid of the item by other means?

Thanks all.

Assuming he was paying cash just open an NPB on him with the message that you will relist unless the item is collected within 7 days, then let the NPB disopute run its course.

No he has paid by paypal - which is where my problem lies. It's all paid for but I'm sick of waiting for him to collect and really need it gone today or tomo. It's sooo annoying but I guess there's not much I can do?

I dont know if there is a dispute u can open for item not collected???

You could try requesting the buyers contact details via http://search.ebay.co.uk/ws/search/AdvSearch?sofindtype=9#ContactInfo I did this last week when a buyer failed to collect some bunk beds (although they were paying by cash) but the email with the contact details on never came through, but I hope you have more luck.

Just notify him that it will be disposed of if not collected within 60 days from purchase. After that time he cant do a Paypal claim....

nb - you should never accept Paypal for collected items as they can just do an item not received calim and get the money back.

Whilst I agree 100% sellers obviously don't have any choice any more as we must all take paypal whether item is posted or not.
