Sale listings of repossessed houses
How do banks/building societies sell repossessed houses? It's not a very nice question to ask, but even with house prices falling, I still can't afford to buy, so am wondering where I could find such listings.
Thanks.

You dont find listings - they are put in the hands of estate agents or they go to auction.0

Here in East Dorset/West Hants they ALL go to auction, and if you make an offer beforehand to the EA they refuse and say "go to the auction and make your offer there" (has happened to me many times).
Ridiculous in my opinion as many of those who then need mortgages can't buy at auction (due to 28 day completion rule) so they're limiting who they sell to, and therefore fetching a LOWER price!
