help - virgin 2% money transfer charge

just heard from mint that charge of 2% is made if transfer crtedit limit of newly opened a/c to current account
can i get round this maybe by using part of debt of mortgage ? or some other way

    Use their 'transfer & save' cheques - not their 'money transfer' [cash advance] service and it should be free.

    Mint cheques can be used at any time to credit money to yourself but (outside the initial promotional period) do attract interest. Still that makes it a 'SBT' card of sorts.

    [BTW, is that 'Virgin' or 'Mint' we are discussing?]

    obnoctious man at mint said that balance transfer was giving cash therefore (in lofty tone) does and should be charged for.

    that is exactly wot t&s cheques do is it ? yet he kept that back !!

    if true i shall enjoy the interest with even more verve
