Fisi Tracker Funds

I have been watching the stock market recently and am thinking weather it is the right time to look at investing in stock market or if i should wait.
I was thinking about a FISI tracker fund,
could any one give me advice on any good funds and weather you think it is the right time or weather i should wait.

You really mean FISE or do you mean FTSE?

If FTSE, what index are you wanting to track?

Do you mean FTSE? well I was advised that the allshare FTSE is a better index to track than the FTSE 100, the allshare obvioulsy also has all the top 100 companies in it anyway. I recently started one with Fidekity, they have extremely low charges at only 0.1% here is a link:

Don't forget to do it as an isa if you have any isa allowance left to use

The FTSE100 is a limited index that tracks the large caps. The FTSE250 tracks the mid caps. At different times these two indexes will perform differently to each other. In the growth years the FTSE250 trackers were top end of the performance tables but in bad times they typically suffer. In the good times the FTSE100 trackers were awful. They spent most of the last 15 years at the bottom of the performance tables. Through a recession and moving forward in the interim they could do better.

The FTSE all share will be consistently mid table. So, for a lazy investor who isnt looking for sector diversification and only interested in a single fund then the FTSE all share is a better option.

It was you that originally told me, at the moment I have about 20k tracking the FTSE 100 and 4k tracking the allshare (all isa's), I was thinking of just leaving things where they are but next 2 years putting in £7,200 into the allshare FTSE

Personally, with those figures I would be looking for diversification outside of the UK. Especially with your willingness to accept a medium/high risk selection.
