    The link is here http://www.gimp.org/
There's also http://www.getpaint.net/ which some find a more intuitive interface.

Or try gimpshop. Which is The Gimp modded to look and feel more like Photoshop.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

How many times does this crop up a week?

A quick search will reveal all you need to know!

Photoshop Express, The GIMP and Paint.Net as others have mentioned...

You know the only reason I wrote that backing up sticky was purely because so many people were saying "I don't understand what backing up means" and I was getting fed up of writing the same extensive explanations again and again. Although funnily you still get people asking to explain backing up but at least it's not as often.

I think that and the other stickies are excellent.

It's a pity new posts can't run a fuzzy logic search, so when someone starts a new thread "can anyone recommend xyz" or "what is the best xyz" the forum search looks for all similar threads based on some key text, displays them, and then afterwards gives an option to post a new thread if nothing suitable appears.
