Moving out of house questions

When we moved out of our house about a month ago I had every intention of moving everything out and leaving the whole place spotless.....in the end the stress of everything else that was going on took over and we ended up leaving a few bits of furniture/junk we didnt need.I had a major panic at the time thinking what if someone I know buys it and thinks were really slovenly!I have since been back and whipped a hoover round cleaned bathroom etc but short of redecorating the whole place its a lost cause and it smells of dog (I never noticed it when we lived there!)I am now an avid fan of air freshners and window openings!
We have only moved about a mile up the road and a lot of our neighbours I still see in the school yard....I have no clue how to respond to their questions of 'Oh I didnt know you were moving I didnt notice the for sale board?' and 'why did you move?are you renting it out?'
I tend to mutter under my breath and try and scurry away....:) Dont really want to broadcast to the whole world what has happened to us though im sure they must speculate!

Don't worry about returning the keys - there's no need. The baliffs will appoint a locksmith to come in and (discreetly) change the locks on repo. dayYou can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that

Completely understand your anxiety, Dodecanese. Moved out in May, nothing has happened to the property and I dread to imagine what the garden looks like now. Anyway, well done on finding somewhere nice to live. I hope you'll be really happy there.
