I need to lease a car....

I need to lease a car to be used for driving tuition.
Therefore it needs to have dual controls fitted and I will have my signage put on it.
I do around 30K miles per year.
I want the car to be a Mini.
Does anyone know where I should look?
Thanks in advance.

Talk to dealerships, they must sell these somewhere to the other driving schools? They'd probably do these on a lease-plan sale. Maybe one of the big driving school companies would assist? Red? Why? The mini will be quite expensive on a lease. I keep advocating going for the deal not the car.
30,000 miles is quite high so that will also make it more expensive it might be better looking at a loan and buying outright.
But whatever you do this will need a good spreadsheet to work out which method offers the best value.
One thing in favour of the Mini is it retains it value very well.
Picking up what the Rev said do you not have a trade body that could point you in the right direction re leases etc?0 -
It's not easy to get a lease on a driving school car as funders, now more than ever, are nervous on residual value for the cars and many simply don't want to finance a car where the wear and tear will be higher than an an experienced single driver.
You'll find leasing for driving instructor use a really pricey way to opertae your business..and on Mini there's barely any discount anyway so you'll be operating a business sourcing your tool of the trade at almost full list plus some for the extra wear and tear. You'll also have to bear the cost of putting the car back to normal before handing it back to the lessor as no-one wants a used car with dual controls.
These guys were recommended to us a while ago...we've put a couple of our own enquirers over to them so we have no first hand experience

Get in touch with the driving instructor and ADI forums - there are loads of dual controlled cars available on lease.
Word of wisdom though - don't get a mini - they drink fuel, they're expensive to lease and they are no as reliable as many alternatives.
You could get a good basic lease car for around £70/week, but a mini will probably cost around £90 for a basic model. That's over £1000 a year more. In lean times keep your costs low.0 -
