Hello everyone!
I went and bought some Brown Paper from tescos to wrap the presents but I'm not sure what to use ribbon wise I want it to look traddtional and classy! I'm sure I saw someones picture on here which included a candy cane attached to it.
Any ideas would be much appreciated!

A sort of raffia would look good................failing that green or red - it's festive and would look ok with the brown.Mary

I usually use gold and/or red ribbons with brown paper, it looks very effective.I make my own gift tags to go with them too. I attach the tags with coordinating ribbon and use the fake red berries you can buy as an added touch. I've seen it decorated with small pine cones, cinnemon sticks fake poinsettias too - they all looked nice. Hope that helps.Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you.:p

Ikea have organza type ribbon in silver blue gold and red. Red seems to be the most popular, I have yet to see it!!!0

I've used brown paper wrapping with raffia to tie up. Also used brown luggage labels which look good tied on with string.
My all time favourite is Noel ribbon:
