I've heard it be mentioned before on various sites but I don't know much about it.
Here http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/0 -
And use Sandboxie https://www.sandboxie.com to protect your computer by providing a virtual environment for your browsing etc. You can also set up a secure 'box' for doing banking or shopping.:D. I have mine set to delete it's contents after every use, so that nothing bad can lurk for next time.0

Before and after using online banking, I always disconnect from the internet and use the 'delete all' (temporary internet files/cookies/history/form data/ password) on the 'internet properties'0

I can't believe I've not seen reports of this in the papers or anything though, surely this is pretty fundamental to the whole world of internet security?
It's one thing if you're daft enough to email your password or type it in to a site like www.somesite.net/lloydstsb-login.ibc/customer.html or something, but when you can't even trust that a page served from the Lloyds servers is legit, all hope seems lost?!
How long before someone writes one that sits quietly listening to all your drop-down box inputs over time, till it has them all then fires off a nice connection to a small african state so they can fleece your account?0 -
Yesterday I also had this third textbox asking for my memorable information in full. As i was in Poland i thought it was a version of the website meant for outisde the UK. I thought it was odd so i googled lloydstsb and used the sponsored link and the 3rd textbox was still there, so i trusted it. The URL looked normal and the padlock was present.
I have not lost any money but i phoned LloydsTSB anyway and they suspended my online access until i have done a through AV check. They also confirmed that no new payments have been set up.0 -
google trend online and use that. Virus checkers on your machine can be compromised and that one is a remote scan
ie is bad news though its better then it was.
Alternatives are firefox, safari, opera and probably a few others but anything less common is less likely to catch a bug0 -

The pages aren't being served by Lloyds, a virus on the computer is redirecting the request to the Lloyds domain name to another webpage, either a local one such as a trojan on the computer or one on another server. That or it's DNS poisoning. Would show up in the address bar though. How long before someone writes one that sits quietly listening to all your drop-down box inputs over time, till it has them all then fires off a nice connection to a small african state so they can fleece your account?0 -
