form IB50 help

today as i read all in the news about the changes to incapcity i received in the post form ib50 incapcity for work questionaire

has anyone else been sent one out of the blue i just worried its all to do with the way benifits is being reorganised and how this will affect me if and when i sent it back

    Well basically if they decide you're fit to to any type of work at all, you'll be expected to look for it.

    No nothing is changing for current claimants at the moment, it may in the future.

    yes....when they start sending out IB50's to everyone on IB....looks as it may already have started, I have a GP friend who has been inundated with "questionaires"...if thats what you call them...lol

    An IB50 is a standard questionnaire sent out for customer s approaching the PCA. When you have completed it, it will be sent to DWP GP's who will most likely call you to a medical consultation.

    The PCA Personal Capability Assessment attracts marks depending upon your condition. To continue to receive IB/IS you will need to score 10 points for MH or 15 points for a physical problem.

    Scoring less will result in being found fit for some type of work. Nothing to do with the changes benefits.

    If you previously filled out an IB50 you would have received a letter telling you that you had been found unfit for work,the same letter would have said how long this was for(e.g.untill 1st november 2008)I would suggest this is the case and thats why you have now been sent a new IB50 to fill out
