VIRGIN VIE AT HOME!

I am a consultant for Virgin Vie at Home and thoroughly enjoy my job. If you are reading this and are unsure of what Virgin Vie is, it is part of the Virgin group, and like Body Shop At Home or Ann Summers, it is a party planning business specialising in Cosmetics, Skincare, Jewellrey and Homeware.

The idea of this thread is to bring all 'Virgins' together to share best practice, to increase motivation, to swap ideas/hints/tips and generally converse about the company we work for.

If you've clicked on the 'Up Your Income' thread looking to up your income, then there will be plenty of people around to explain how money can be made from this wonderful opportunity.

So, please join in....lets get a list together of Virgin Vie Consultants and start becoming the best we can be, and then even better than that :D

For starters, an average party is £225 and you make 25% commission. Your business can be incredibly busy and lucrative if you want it to be, or simply a way to add a little bit of money to your holiday fund or pay off your debts.

If you are a consultant and contribute to this thread, pop your name and area at the top of your reply! Would be lovely to see where you're from....
Let's go girls!

  • I'm a Virgin Vie consultant over in Kent!
I've been doing it since July and love it! I don't make much from it but I have a cupboard full of lovely stuff that I've paid for out of commission!
  • The Body Shop At Home is sssoooooooo Much Better!! lol
  • What makes you say that?
How do they compare? I've never been to a body shop party so don't know which is better!
  • BS is much cheaper so much easier to get parties. I have 14 parties between now and 6th Dec!
  • I don't really have any problems getting parties booked and have 10 between now and December which is more than I wanted as I only wanted 1 a week.
Also, the earnings seem to be just the same? Body Shop and Virgin Vie both state that the average party earnings are £50.
I think it's much of a muchness really... they seem to be about the same on earnings potential!
  • Im making over £100 a party atm.
  • I'm coming up to my 5th Christmas with them. I loooove the stuff!

There's no shop near where I live whereas there's a Body Shop on every high street, so my reorder business runs itself.
  • I am a huge advocate of Virgin Vie, make plenty of money and see it as my own successful business. Easier to get Body Shop parties? I wouldn't know as I've never been a consultant for BS but I think the key to getting parties is enthusiasm and fabulous products and I think both companies definately offer fabulous products.

The one thing I would say about Virgin Vie is their wonderful ability to incentivise consultant and managers....and quite rightly so. At the beginning of next year, a huge group of Virgin Vie consultants/managers are off on a very exclusive all expenses paid trip to India for hitting a target. What a great reward!

Amongst other things, all of your orders are converted into V Points, which can then be used to buy things. From designer handbags, kids bikes, shopping vouchers, holidays, diamonds, extentions for you kit....the list is endless. So, you've earned your commission, maybe earned free products each month for getting a target (dead easy....first one is £450 in sales), then you have the pleasure of 'cashing in' your V Points!

Its things like this that make me so enthusiastic about Virgin Vie...I'm sure Body Shop offer similar rewards and whatever way we choose to boost our income should be encouraged...and if anyone wants hints and tips on party plan I am happy to assist....regardless of the company you work for.

Squirreler - your 5th Christmas....you must be raking it in girl! :p I am addicted to the Body Gloss - so glad they brought it back.

Cherrypie - thats fab. 14 parties!

Drunk Tinkerbell - I did that at first, kept spending my commission on the stuff! I still would if I didn't need to save the cash!

****A few things I have been doing to get parties/orders*****
    • First thing I did was set how much I want to make last qtr...and worked out how many orders and parties that would need
    • Contacted all my hostesses and party-goers for re-orders/parties
    • Went into banks/surgeries/shops/recruitment agencies...everywhere and anywhere introducing myself....got tonnes this way!
    • I am doing a few 'Xmas Glitz and Glam' workshops for local dance groups etc...have done a couple and has brought in a party from each and some good orders on the day
Happy and thankful with never enough time to do everything

  • I LOVE virgin Vie stuff! I've never been to a body shop party before though.

How do you become a 'rep' for either virgin vie or body shop?
