in line with changes to State Pension age for women, the qualifying age for Winter Fuel
Payments will rise gradually between 2010 and 2020, from 60 to 65. This means that from winter 2010/11 onwards, both men and women will need to have reached women’s State Pension age by the end of the September qualifying week.
????? I am 61 had the winter fuel pay last year and year before what will the changes mean to me ? all ready receiving payment will it stop as I will not be 65 till 2012 thanks

it says gradually rise..... they normally phase these things in (like the age we will actually get a state pension), so one year will be 60, a couple of years later will be 61, a couple after will be 62 and so on......
It's probably only women who will be 65 from 2020 onwards (including me!) who will have to reach 65 -- unless they decide to increase it further as I won't actually get my pension until 67 at the last check
the fact you already receive should mean you can't lose it again.Cheryl0 -
