Anyone know how to hang new doors.
i have bought some new doors not the solid wood type, but someone has told me that one side has got wood in for where the handle goes, i have looked at doors but dont know how to tell.

Normally the lock block is marked on the edge of the door (or at least it was last time I did one, about 20 years ago)0

Look on the top or bottom edge of the door..there is often a mark or an arrow to indicate the side of the "lock block". You should be able to confirm the size of the lock block by gently tapping it with your finger and listening for what sounds hollow and what sounds hard. Once you've identified it don't forget to pencil mark which side it's on!

If you have solid Wood doors then you should be able to use either side as no lock block is required as such as the whole door is solid. At least thats my understanding, anyone else want to confirm?BSC No. 2540

I would suggest asking the supplier which side is for the handle/lock if there are no identifying marks.0 -
there should be a mark of some kind, or just tap the wood. you can tell the difference by the sound where the block is.Get some gorm.0
