Help with Date/time on Fuji Finepix S5800/5700 camera

I have bought the Fuji S5800 recently which is very similar to the S5700 . I am very happy with the camera and the results I am getting but I have got one problem.
I cannot get the date and time to get on the screen once I download the pictures to my PC.
I have read the manual and there is an option of DPOF wherein you can add the date n time for printout but there is no way I can get it to show on the downloaded pictures.
Any help will be hugely appreciated.
Thanks
I wanted to thankyou a million times but its a shame that I can press the button just once :T

Did you read the bit that said "some printers do not support data & time imprinting"?

I did read that but what I am asking is that is there any way I can get the date n time display on my downloaded snaps on my PC and not the printed ones as I do not normally print the snaps.

    Thanks for the help anyway

It's a print option! The date and time is embedded into the file that you download to your PC in the EXIF data. Use a decent viewer like Irfanview and you will see it.

Thanks for that. I will viewing with Irfan Viewer and let you know. Would it show the date and time on the picture as you can see it on the LCD screen of the camera.
    Thanks

The date and time will not show on the picture, that is a camera printing feature!

Do you really want a date stamp on your pictures like the old film cameras did? PhotoDate does not put a date stamp on your pictures, it simply organizes your photos by date and year based on when they were taken.
