There are 2 Premiers in the area, but even closer if you continue on the train to Oxford Road. The Portland Street one, I know, will accommodate 3 adults. There's an Ibis on Portland St as well, but I doubt they accommodate 3 per room. Travelodges are a bit more of a walk from Piccadilly- the Blackfriar one is nearer to Victoria station. Holiday Inns aren't that close to the station.
Just checked - central Travelodges not available your dates - but Didsbury is. Way out of town - but check as there is a rail link to East Didsbury, which looks quite close to the Lodge.0 -
Try priceline.co.uk 'name your price'. You can't specify the hotel but you can specify the area ie City Centre in your case.
I booked a room in September when I went to drop my daughter at Uni using 'name your price' and got the Manchester Airport Marriott Hotel for £48 including Priceline's fees - this was at a time when it was really difficult to get a room at a reasonable price due to the Labour Party Conference.
The room was wonderful and spacious, all that you'd expect from a 4* hotel esp at that price.“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us...."0 -
I think the Ibis on Princess Street has family rooms or try The Apartment Hotel, just at the bottom of the train station, obviously it's a apartment style hotel so plenty of room2p off is still 2p off!0

Right I'm coming from Cardiff and going to Manchester for 2 nights to go to the Warehouse Project which is a music festival thing which is under Piccadilly train station. I've been before and luckily enough stayed with somone else who lives in disbury around 5 miles from Manchester. I don't want it to be more than 5/6 miles away from Piccadilly station really.
Thanks0 -

I'm still having a think everything that springs to mind is booked up or doesn't do rooms big enough

Etap hotels have a double bed with a single bunk above it, if that's any use.
There's one at Salford Quays, under four miles from Piccadilly Station and £32 per room per night when I looked.

Have you tried the City Inn, we stayed there and it was quite inexpensive, walking distance from the train station and great.0

Sorry..
3 Adults and Hopefully 1 room.
First people I'd contact are The Place which are gorgeous and literally yards from Piccadilly Station.

Then go for The Atrium by Bridgestreet Apartments on Whitworth Street which is about 8mins walk...

...or Premier Apartments at Shudehill which is one tram stop from Piccadilly Plaza (down the side of Debenhams) or less than 10mins walk from the station...
