Cheap laptop for graphics use??

Hi guys!

I'm new to the site so forgive me if someone has posted a thread on this before!

Basically i'm after a new laptop as my computer decided to die on me last week. It needs to be able to handle graphics packages easily as im an architecture student.
Im not too up on my computers so i dont really know what kind processor (e.g. core 2 duo etc...) would be best for me?

I have a budget of around £600 quid so just wondered if anyone on here knows of any good deals or advice they could give?!!

Looking forward to ur replies!!

It's a great deal with a good spec - tons of memory and a fast CPU - however I've not sure about the screen resolution, 768 pixels high is perfect for HD video, but it's not so good run running applications. It would feel a bit cramped vertically IMHO. Check the resolution of the PC you're using now, quite possibly it'll have a vertical resolution of 1024 pixels - so with this laptop you'd be losing a 1/4 of your vertical resolution. Or in other words, a lot more scrolling up and down with the mouse.

Looks a good laptop. The screen res is perhaps a bit low, but you could get round this by running a separate LCD - any self respecting gfx artist would have at least 2 monitors anyway ;)
