Cost of the resession.
She is out of work and probably has one of those ocean finance loans she advertises.:rotfl:
You can be clever but it usualy means you have no common sence.0 -
Sounds like she's still making a profit of half a million. Not too shabby.
I can't feel that sorry for her!0 -
I'm sure that all the people she encouraged to take out rip-off financial plans will be delighted to hear that he has had to drop the price on her multi-million pound flat. :mad:0

The headline is about cutting £800,000 from her asking price, but the reality seems much worse.Vorderman put the Thameside flat – which overlooks parliament – on the market in May for £5.75m.
But Carol - who made her name with her mathematical ability on Channel 4s Countdown show - has now reportedly reduced the price to £4.95m due to the property slump.
And she may have to settle for less as her most serious bidder is said to be offering just £3.5m.
!!!!!!.. a flat at £3.5 million ! Get real Carol. Year 2002 was a booming economy built on debt.
Lets see if her big money fees and advertising earnings cover her liabilities and obligations."In the '90s, when I had money to buy property other than the one I was living in, I started to buy an awful lot off-plan, particularly on the waterfront in London. I would often sell before completion: you put 10 per cent down, sell early and make money on your 10 per cent rather than on the full amount. I have bought a lot of property, and it has been a passion. Every time I go on holiday, that's what I do. I go to estate agents and developments, much to the aggravation of anyone I'm with. Over the years, not talking about where I've lived, but as investments, I've bought about 20 properties."

In a concession to the property slump, the price tag has now been reduced to £4.95m. It is possible Vorderman may have to settle for even less as her most serious bidder is understood to be offering just £3.5m.

For a nasty moment there I thought you meant our own CarolT!
I was going to say, it couldn't possibly have got that bad surely? :eek:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
The split-level property has floor-to-ceiling windows and purple neon-lit walls. Neighbours include Lord Archer and Frank Skinner, the comedian.
Surely another reason why the value has tanked
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Paid £2.9M for a flat? A flat... (2002. I don't care when - sheer madness. Her and her neighbours - barmy, the lot of them.)0

No, I'm never wrong....
But I couldn't afford even the positively paltry £3.5 million either, I'm afraid.
Yes - I must admit, I wondered for a split second if you meant me too....
