Help with set top box

I have a freeview set top box which has been working just fine for years. I switched it on this morning and was told that new channels had been added and that i should re-scan so I did and now it tells me that there is no signal and will not pick up any channels at all!
I have tried turning it off, unplugging it for a couple of hours and pulling out the aerial. Is there anything else I can do?

It is a Daewoo Setpal0

It could be one of two issues - a recent signal change or a capacitor in the power supply section of this receiver which runs very hot and eventually fails.
You may have to purchase another0 -
This has happened to some of the "old" boxes as the update cannot be decoded by the box -- You could try contacting the manufacturer and explaining as I believe others have done and got replacements or discounted boxes -- Dave0
