Digital camera wanted for travels

I tried looking in the FAQ but none of the links work. (Is there any point keeping it a sticky?)
I'm going travelling for several months and want a new digital camera to take with me, something fairly small and light obviously, preferably around £100, less than £200. What I'd really like is one that takes normal batteries so I can carry spares and buy in a shop if need be, as I'm not sure I'll be able to charge it often at a mains. All the 'Which' recommended cameras I've looked at so far have lithium-ion batteries, which I don't think are very suitable for my purposes.
If anybody can recommend anything or point me towards good websites or guides, it would be much appreciated. Thanks

Actually I've just looked at the dimensions of such cameras and they're all a bit too chunky for my liking so think I'll make do with a slimmer camera benefitting from not having large camera housing.0

Fuji do several that take AAs. They generally take 4. The S5700 and S5800 are OK cameras and cheap. They have good zooms 10X.

Canon have new ones coming out but the older ones like the A590IS (£80ish) take 2 AAs and have great reviews but the zooms are limited. SX110 (£175) 2AAs and 10X zoom might be an option.

OH has a lion panasonic and a charge takes about 250 pics (200 in real life). We bought a couple of spare batteries from ebay for £10 or so. With a couple of 4Gb SD cards each holding 800 or so pics 3* batteries OH should be able to shoot for a few days at a time.
