  • Morning ladies.

It's a bright sunny one here, although an arctic blast when i open the door. One cat is acting as though it is dying - walking like an old boy, refusing to go out, and just sitting at the back door like a draught excluder (no temperature or obvious ill signs, except the odd splutter and sneeze), the other cat is in but sneezing too, DS2 has a gammy eye and sneezing, and DS1 coughing and sneezing. Hope i don't get it. It's been quiet so far. I think both boys are tired from yesterday, and DS2 was waking up a lot in the night coughing, and DS1 is very engrossed in playing with a toy Juliejim gave him yesterday - over an hour so far and no signs of stopping. DS2 happy blowing spit bubbles - long may it last :j

    I've managed so far:
    • wash up a couple of glasses/snack plates from last night, plus breakie stuff
    • fed cats
    • ran steriliser and made up bottles
    • purt away last nights washing up
I'll just see where the day takes me i think.

    Michelle, x

I spent from 4.20 to 5.30 trying to persuade DS to go back to sleep - in the end up I gave up and we got up!

    Morning Jue

You'd have thought DS would have slept for England after all that running round yesterday! How's DD's mouth this morning, Miss A says sorry again :o

Well A & W are having a leisurely breakfast of waffles and crumpets before we head off to see my aunt for the day. It's lovely and bright out there this morning so should be another good day.

Good morning all - hi Flymeet mates!

Valli - did you get your crossword clue? If not, the answer's Adams Needle - it's a type of Yucca
Ooh many thanks...no I didn't get it and I have never heard of that one. It's often the botanicals that stump me on this, it's a general knowledge one that I TRY to do every week.

Glad you all had fun at the meet-up, fab photo - Valli - you look exactly as I'd imagined you, it's quite freaky.
You're not kidding...three of you imagined that - Polka was one too! Incidentally Polka you got a mention at the meet...

Naw I do believe her...TBH I thought it was something like that - twp - I like that. Is it pronounced 'toop'? I LOVE the Welsh accent(s)!
Now how do they teach phonics in Wales I wonder - that's a C-C-C word (as opposed to a C-V-C word, like cat!)
It's bright, sunny and not too cold here - the washing is pegged out and the barometer has shrugged right round to fair! I will now tootle off to have a leisurely breakfast..
    catch you later.

:hello: Yoo hoo! I'm here and alive just about :D

Everything went a tad bit pear shaped over half term, including someone staying over so the bed I was using to store clothes on until my wardrobe is made was in use, I bought Spore which took up a lot of my time and on Saturday I got Fable II which I've been engrossed in! However now the children are back at school and hubby has gone to work for a few hours (he's had ear problems for the last few months so is only back for 4 hours a day!)...now I can get back into the swing of things I hope! So in 5 minutes I shall be doing a kitchen and lounge rescue for half an hour if anyone cares to join me.

Shinky sink (wash dishes in the sink, when dry empty rack)
    DW
Clean worktops - one (with kettle on), two (left side of hob) , three (right side of hob), four (above dishwasher), five (bread make/microwave area), six (under phone)
    Sweep floor
Fold dry clothes from horse and dryer
    Shine hob

    Lounge rescue:

Clear sofas - one (near window), two (under light)
Clear floor of toys and bits
    Vaccum floor
Clear hot spots - top of telly, fishtank stand, in front of hamster, above radiator
    Lay fire

Shall see how far I get with that. Once these two rooms are looking good then I can move on to the rest of the house. I was doing really well as well :o

  • Well I'm most disappointed with you lot... No firemen have arrived and I thought you would have sent them by now... :D

Not drowned under paperwork yet and am making quite good progress, but the council men arrived just now (did you send them instead?) to finish the back window on my kitchen that needed repairing, they're coming back at 11ish so I have to get ready for them and clean up the garden too (dogs are a pest sometimes)... Better get DS up to do that I think.;)
