I only buy blue sheets, nothing I have is flowered/girly/patterened as DP hates it, so it always matches (well sort of, some are more 'washed out' blue) Oh I did buy some with white bits but then the colour ran, but still blue.
2 more bags unpacked, still no sign of the stupid ankle brace, grrr, I bet it's in the last one I check.
Wohooo I've found a blankie I need, for baby Matthew, he lost his 'Lenny' which he loved, his Mam has been blaming his current moods on his teeth but I think maybe a new Lenny will help, ok so I am now bidding on 2but I found them
just hoping he'll have it, because I know my 2 were a pain when their comfort blankies were switched.
One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Ahh comfort blankets! Both of mine had them for ages. I think in both instances they really fell apart and just 'disappeared' one day...I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Can someone explain to me the etiquette of poppy wearing? I have always thought you buy a poppy and wear it on 11 November for the day.
But, whenever I watch the news or other almost live programmes at the moment, presenters are already wearing them. To me that dilutes the message of rememberance. A bit like putting Xmas decorations up in November.
Am I being a bit 'special'? Or have I missed an edict or something somewhere?

Right I am heading off to bed. Shan't be around much tomorrow as it is our rector's last 'normal' Sunday service tomorrow, he will be taking the Remembrance service as his last official service. We are going to ring a quarter peal for him in the afternoon which is approximately 45 minutes non stop bellringing during which no row repeats itself. A & W are going to be at Nannies and Grandad's for lunch and the afternoon whilst we ring.
Will look in tomorrow but probably not until after Lewis raises the F1 crownOfficial Mascot and Chief Cheerleader for the 'Mortgage Free in Three' Gang0 -
Not a hugely productive day today...
1 box of books/DVDs to book bank
1 box bottles to bottle bank
Jam jars dropped off at farm shop when getting veggies
Old hoover/steamer/batteries/lightbulbs/bits of metal taken to tip
Sink & plastic storage boxes bought in B&Q
Some items listed on freecycle
B&Q have lots of offers on insulation/energy saving at the moment. As well as giving you two energy-saving lightbulbs for a normal one if you take it in, they'll also give you two if you spend £3 on a car boot liner. OK, so they're all the old-fashioned ones, but they're also free. Good for landings, garages, utility rooms, outside lights etc. (Or Christmas presents if you've got as many as I have!)
I'm off to have a nice hot bath, with lots of oil in it seeing as I'm washing my sheets tomorrow!0 -
AnW - wishing you strong arms for tomorrow afternoon! That's some going - 45 minutes bell ringing without a break..I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Right I'm off to bed I think. I really hope the weather is better tomorrow. I don't want to end up stuck indoors all day again!

Flylady Flower in this weather I have towels at the door which act like a doormat for the woofs, helps reduce it a bit.
We (DP and I)were getting on quite well, until just now when getting ready for work I asked him why he wasn't wearing the shirt he asked me to wash and have ready for today before he went to work on Friday, 'what the f***s it got to do with you you're not my mother' so of course that annoyed me and I said 'well obviously because I actually care about you' oops, nevermind, it's only the truth. Then he phones to say 'will you make sure my clothes, sandwiches and other things are all out ready for me in the morning' (he's going to manchester or somewhere) who's not his mother? same as when he was getting ready for work I had to find his underwear for him as he doesn't check before he gets in the shower to see if that automatic machine that transforms what he leaves on the floor into clean clothes in his drawer/wardrobe has been working I've already been to fill my car up with petrol for him. Anyway, enough about that moaning murtle, they just drive you mad don't they!
Thanks Lil_me, I do that, but they stay wet for ages...:D Plus I can't leave anything down coz they chew everything up if I do... still in that puppy stage (like men, do they ever grow out of it?) and when any of the others let them out, they never get the towels down when they come in...
Hope you don't mind me putting in my tuppence worth, as obviously I don't know you and your DP and I know the other flyladies will give you loads of advice that is much better than mine, but I just wondered, is he always this ratty or is it just since he made this decision? It sounds to me that your DP is feeling guilty about what he wants to do because of what it is doing to you.
Men are funny bu88ers, everything is soooo black and white to them and they hate to back down, but you know him better than anyone so will know how to handle it, and I'm sure it will all work out - one way or the other, good luck!LBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0
