Any plans for repeats at a more sensible time?

Options
The two MMRs I saw were great (last weeks) but sadly I work everyday and so have to record and watch them later - however yesterday OH did something funny when setting it up for me so it recorded the sound but no picture and today he manged to record BBC1 - so got the end of doctors and something along the lines of diagnosis murder - not at all impressed

Anyway - and apologies if it's been mentioned elsewhere - any chance it'll be repeated at some point in time - such a shame that a program that's so useful to everyone is on when so many people are at work?

It's on when I'm asleep - Sky+ catches it for me.

Additionally, Sky+ will rescue me if between 27-30 December the times are different to what is to the left of the page. Seeing as no-one has replied to my thread...I'll still be OK because Sky+ knows if the time changes from when it's normally on.

It's not so much 'on at a decent time', but 'getting the OH to have a clue how to record'.

You've also got to remember that Martin wouldn't have had a say, probably, in when it's aired.

If you've got Sky, you can pretty much guarantee that the program will be repeated on one of the channels soon. They seem to do this with all the other programs, so I can't see it would be any different with this program.

OH can use the dvd recorder fine normally, plenty of episodes of bleak house among other things waiting for me to record - it's when he's rushing around trying to do it when we're getting ready for work in the morning and dashing out so forgetting to change the channel on the sky box - we never watch ITV normally.

I can't justify getting sky+ trying to prevent us going into debt.

I'm not saying it's Martin's fault either that it's on at a stupid time - but he/someone else in the know might have an idea that repeats are likely.

Similar programs to this on the BBC have been on in the evenings - e.g. your money or your life, bank of mum and dad, spendaholics etc - albeit BBC2/3 - shame neither of them made this program - would make it advert free too - as I said the ones last week were great and hopefully I'll be able to catch the rest - one's over Christmas are unlikely as when you're in a relatives house you can't exactly grab their TV remote during lunch - but I'll do my best.

My answer to this question is ask ITV. I would love a prime time series or even a prime time repeat on ITV2. If lots of moneysavers want to email ITV tell it how good the programme is and ask why it isn't on at prime time. You'd find no obhection from me :)

What do you call a sensible time? I find it very hard to sit down and concentrate on a TV programme when I have the children here, washing up to do, cooking to do and the dog to take out etc etc. At least at 2.30pm I can watch the programme in peace and be able to discuss and remember it when I get on here. I've had to video it a couple of times but thats no hardship. It would be great to see Martin on prime time TV but I probably would still tape it and watch it at 2.30.

  • Hi,

Thanks for the ITV link :j

Just added my request, I am normally about at that time of day[2.30 - except for last minute shopping] but it would be more convenient to watch the programme with my MSE trainees [family] present . Must be hard for mums who need to be collecting the litlle 'uns from school at that time as well:snow_laug :snow_laug
