In limbo

When you are making an internet transfer from one institution to another, who is responsible for the money (and where is it) during this period of limbo of three to four days???

For example if I have just transferred money out of Barclays to the Halifax, who would I claim the money from if both went broke at the same time during this transfer period?

TIA

Vigman

Its the senders responsibility until it lands at the receiving institution. Relax its in the financial transfer ether. If both banks went tits up, you will get your money back through the FSCS and there is as much chance of both or one of the banking institutions you mention going bust as Fernando Alonso winning this years F1 drivers championship, i.e none
