Creation Financial Services

Hi I felt i needed to start a new thread for this as I can't find anywhere to ask the question!

I've got a store card on my credit file for 'CREATION FINANCIAL SERVICES LTD', yet i've got no idea what shop it was for!? It still states its open, but all the statements would have gone to my previous address so i'm still none the wiser.

I have actually contacted Creation about another card i had through them which was for USC i remember, and that has been cancelled and closed however they never told me about this other card and now i'm confused!

Basically I wanted to know if anyone knew which shops used (or used to use) Creation?

Thanks for any help!

Creation don't run Arcadia anymore; they not done for a very long time. GE now run the Arcadia brand.

However, Creation do have some cards left over from the migration of Arcadia which they moved over to DUET.

No i think i'd remember taking it out...? Hmm i think the only answer is to ring up experian (again) ask them for the account number and call Creation (again) and ask them to close it... my poor phone bill! Only problem is according to my credit file this card is £3 in credit, i've read stories of people having problems closing cards which are in credit... worth a try anyway :)

I'm 99.99% certain they won't have an "account number". You'll have to call Creation and ask them which accounts you hold with them at both your current and previous addresses).

If you're coming up against a brick wall, then make a SAR of Creation (although that will cost you £10).

You'd be surprised, when i was looking to reclaim all my bank charges i called them up and asked them for the card numbers and they gave them me straight away! I didn't ask for this one at the time because i'd never missed any payments on it. It doesn't show it on your credit file but they do hold that info, whether or not they were supposed to give it to me, i did feel like a bit cheeky asking them for my information... :)
  • I recently found that that I also still have an account open with Creation, after looking in to this it turned out to be for an Allders store card that I took out in 2000. I requested that it be closed as the store chain no longer exists through Experian but was told that because it is £1 in credit I would need to contact Creation. I have sent two letters to them but have as yet had no luck. Think I will need to call them up.
